Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Should my skin turn Green?
A:
Yes, that is the copper being absorbed in the skin. Remember, "Green is Good!" (Soap and water can take the green off. If it is "very" green, lemon juice will take it off.

Q: How should I clean my Copper Wristband?
A:
You should use a jewelry wipe or jewelry cleaner but do not use a jewelry dip. (Some people set their wristband in a bowl with cola overnight to clean it. Some use toothpaste.)

Q: How do I clean my Copper Link Bracelet?
A:
Use a jewelry polish or copper cleaner

Q: Should I take my Copper Wristband off every night?
A:
No, you should only take off your wristband when you go into chlorinated water, like in a pool or spa, or salt water, like an ocean. You should also take it off periodically to clean it.

Q: What gauss (strength) are the magnets in the Copper Wristbands?
A:
1700 gauss per samarium cobalt magnet

Q: Why should I wear a Copper Wristband?
A:

Q: Why should I wear a Wristband when I can take a copper pill?
A:
The Copper Wristband puts copper into your system in a time released way making it most effective. A pill puts copper into your body all at once.

Q: Where is the copper on the watch?
A:
The copper is on a disc on the back of the watch face.

Q: Are there magnets on the watch?
A:
No, magnets would drain the battery of the watch.

Q: Can I wear my Magnetic Wristband next to my watch?
A:
Only if your watch is a wind-up. Any watch requiring batteries will be drained.

Q: Can I coat the bottom of my Copper Wristband so it doesn't turn my arm green?
A:
Some people do coat the bottom of their wristband with a clear nail polish. But remember that if the copper is not touching your skin directly, then you are not getting any copper into your system.

Q: Is there a coating on my Copper Wristband?
A:
Yes, there is a temporary clear coat on the outside of your wristband. The coating will start to wear off in a short time. Simply clean the rest of the coating off the band.

Q: How often do I need to replace my Copper Wristband?
A:
About every two years.

Q: Why did my Copper Wristband break/crack?
A:
Your Sabona Copper Wristband should be worn at all times. It should only be taken off for cleaning and when in salt water or chlorinated water. Your wristband is a metal and with the constant bending of taking your wristband off and on it will break. Sometimes if the size of your wristband is too big, it will kink when you bend it to fit your wrist. That kink will eventually crack or break.

Q: My silver wristband is black!
A:
Our copper wristbands are plated with the purest silver. If your wristband is black then it has tarnished and a silver polish will clean it up.
